The 7th Annual Walleye/Pike Tournament
Saturday, June 7th - This tournament includes the waters of Lac La Belle, Gratiot Lake and Torch Lake. Each lake will have a weigh station. Pre-registration will be held Friday, June 6 at the Lac La Belle Lodge and includes a raffle drawing for multiple prizes. Tournament fishing/weigh-in runs from 6 am to 3 pm on Saturday, June 7 with the Awards Ceremony at 5 pm at the Lac La Belle Lodge. The Longest Fishing Tournament
Saturday, June 21st - This tournament is held on the waters of Lac La Belle, Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor and Lake Medora. No boat is permitted more than 5 miles from the Lake Superior Shoreline. Tournament begins at 6 am on Saturday, and ends at 3:30 pm with the Awards Ceremony at 8 pm at the Mariner North in Copper Harbor. Check in and weighing of fish will be done at the Gaslite General Store. A pre-tournament meeting will be held from 7 - 9 pm on Friday, June 20 at the Copper Harbor Community Building and will include refreshments, live music and a fish boil. Keweenaw Trail Run
Friday & Saturday, July 12th & 13th - Join us in the wild and beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula for an epic weekend of trail running, delicious food and fun! Events include the 10km run on the tranquil Garden Brook Trail in Copper Harbor, the youth 2km run over open grass and forest, and the Hill Climb from the Eagle Harbor beach to the Mt. Lookout summit on Saturday and the 25km run through the rugged backcountry forests of northern Keweenaw County on Sunday. The weekend also includes awards, organic cotton T-shirts, breakfast of organic & locally grown foods and a strong commitment to the environment. Keweenaw Crayons 9th Annual Thimbleberry Jam Fest
Sunday, July 20th at the Keweenaw Mountain Lodge with happenings in Copper Harbor too. 11:00 am to 7:00 pm or later. Music includes Augustine Family Band, On the Spot Blues Band, Mz. Behavin' and the Swing Cats, Rhythm 203, Swill Merchants and Squeaky Clean Cretins. Hot dogs, brats and thimble berry sundaes! There will be transportation to and from the harbor available all day. The Copperman Triathlon
Saturday, August 2nd - The triathlon is held from Ft. Wilkins State Park on US-41 in Copper Harbor. Swim tranquil Lake Fanny Hooe, bike the rocky shores of Lake Superior & run through the wilderness on shaded roads. Sponsored by the Keweenaw Memorial Medical Center. Art in the Park
Saturday & Sunday, August 16th & 17th - Artisans from throughout the midwest congregate for this 2 day show in the heart of Copper Harbor. Both days offer live music, homemade goodies available at the bake sale with hot pasties and a brats/hot dogs cookout by the CHFD for lunch. Sunday, August 31. - 23 & 13 mile Cross Country Mountain Bike Race. Not part of any point series and with no major prize money at stake, this end of summer gathering of the mountain bike tribe will ooh and ahhh racers as they wind through one of the most scenic, fun and challenging race courses in the

Lake Superior Pro Rally
Friday & Saturday, October 17th & 18th -The Lake Superior Pro Rally is organized by the Lake Superior Region of the Sports Car Club of America, Inc., and has twice (1996 and 1998), garnered recognition as "SCCA Pro Rally of the Year." Although there has been some shuffling of positions, the award-winning organizing committee hasn't changed very much since then. This rally, held in Baraga, Houghton & Keweenaw counties is billed as one of the meanest, toughest pro rallys in North America.
